Vishvakalyan Society was established in 1988 by a teacher couple and their son, a surgeon, to provide medical services to the tribal & backward districts of North Gujarat following self-experience of agony due to non-availability of proper medical services in their hometown Idar.
Atmavallabh Hospital was stared as a surgical clinic on in 1991in rented building from provident fund of the said teacher couple has grown into a medical campus
Today society manages
• 100 bed multi-specialty hospital including eye hospital and blood bank,
• two mobile medical units to provide free primary health care 105 tribal villages
• four vision centres and organise free rural eye campsfor community eye care.
• Nursing collage for ANM, GNM, B.Sc&, P.B.B.Sc
• Paramedical institute for Lab Tech., Sanitary Inspector and Eye Technician.
Society is also engaged in
• different humanitarian and relief activities
• care for sick, old & stray animals.
