Smt. Shardaba, a school teacher, had heart attack. Though her son Dr. Dinesh, a Surgeon, was Superintendent of Civil Hospital Idar, because of non–availability of facilities in Idar, she was shifted to Ahmedabad in critical condition and was saved. This incident moved the whole family and they decided to make a modern charitable hospital in Idar to serve the needy following preechings of Bhagvan Mahavir

“Service of sick, poor, distressed, oppressed, disabled and helpless human or animal is service to God”

A charitable trust was registered in 1988. Smt. Shardaba and her husband donated their provident fund to establish the hospital and Dr. Dinesh dedicated his life to serve in it.

Shri Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya had financially supported Dr Dinesh to a be doctor so hospital was named after its founder P.P. Jainachrya Shrimad Vijay Vallabhsurishvarji, as Atmavallabh Hospital. It was begun as small surgical clinic in rented premises on 06-02-1991.

Clear vision of founders and transparent management of trustees, selfless donation of trustees, donors and well wishers, and grant from Government, funds of other national and international NGOs and support of corporate under CSR and dedicated and tireless efforts of employees has enabled it to grow from a tiny seed in to a shady tree and we wish to develop it into a banyan tree.
